Keean Klein is an emerging young artist looking to share a unique and original take on fine arts with the world. Ottawa born and working under the pseudonym K. Koda, he has pursued the many facets of creativity since childhood. A storyteller at heart, he has explored various aspects of artistic expression as author, musician and studio recording artist, as a practitioner of martial arts, and as a student of the visual arts.

With portraiture and dramatic landscapes, impressions and abstracts, K. Koda’s works find inspiration in the natural world and all its diverse complexities. Captivated by the concept of portraying essence and emotion in the visual media, he works with impressions and stylistic imagery to place on canvas his reimagined version of scenes and faces of the world.

Painting with layers of acrylics and a blend of various other of mediums, K. Koda draws upon classic and contemporary thoughts and techniques in an exploration of his own personal style. While his sketches in charcoal and in graphite seek to highlight with shades and the use of negative space the nuances in the human image.
